History

Coffee#1 was founded in 2002 by James Shapland and as of 2008 there are 11 branches located across South Wales and Bristol.

The business has many admirers and is regularly viewed as the #1 destination for coffee across each of its locations.

In 2006, Coffee #1 Bishopston was voted Best in the South West by the Beverage Service Association - in the industry equivalent of the Oscars. This was followed in 2007 by Coffee #1 Chepstow which was voted Best in Wales.

Coffee #1 was 39th Fastest Growing Business In Wales in 2007.

The company uses fairtrade, organic products across its range.
