Cinder Road is a rock band from Lutherville, MD. Formerly known as Plunge, the band changed their name to Cinder Road. The band took their name from the street where they grew up. Cinder Road features frontman/vocalist/guitarist Mike Ruocco, guitarists Chris Shucosky and Pat Patrick, drummer Mac Calvaresi, and Nat Doegen on bass.
The band toured relentlessly up and down the eastern seaboard from Canada to Key West and oversea trips to Southeast Asia playing high-profile shows for the Armed Forces Entertainment (AFE) network in Japan, Korea, Guam, as well as other remote areas such as Greenland and the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base.
After catching the attention of Union Entertainment Group, the management team behind multi-platinum selling Canadian band Nickelback, Cinder Road signed with EMI. The band has worked closely with producer Marti Fredriksen (Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Ozzy Osbourne) on Superhuman, their most recent album which was released in June 2007.
Subsequently, the band has toured with 90's alt-rockers Candlebox, Aussies' Sick Puppies and most recently Hurt. The band will wrap up 2007 opening up for Puddle of Mudd on several high profile west coast shows and headlining the infamous LA rock bar The Viper Room, before beginning '08 on tour with Rock Moguls, "Tesla". Their touring schedule did not let up as they hit the road with hard rock band "Red" for a spring 2008 tour. In April 2008, they had been announced as the opening act for the legendary KISS as they embark on a European tour. They spent part of July 2008 playing on Vans Warped Tour
Cinder Road's 1st single, "Get In Get Out" peaked in the U.S. Mainstream Rock Tracks at number 31. The song also had a 14 week run at #1 on the Sirius Radio Octane Countdown. They also are going on an 8 date tour with Alice Cooper for alittle bit now. Dallas Baldwin also stated that, "These guys are basically Mötley Crüe in their earlier years, they definitely have talent." Dallas Baldwin is a guitarist currently looking for a band and stopped to talk with Cinder Road's Guitarist Chris in the Parking Lot one night after an Alice Cooper Concert.
