Cherith Baldry

Cherith Baldry (born Lancaster, England) is a writer of fantasy fiction. She grew up on a farm and worked with house cats. For a while, she took up the job of teaching, but gave up in order to become a full time writer. She currently lives in Reigate, England. Baldry collaborates with Kate Cary and Victoria Holmes under the pen name of Erin Hunter. They write a series of books called Warriors, in which wild cats strive for peace in their territories.

Life

Born in Lancaster, England, Baldry studied at Manchester University and then St Anne's College, Oxford. She worked both as a teacher and a lecturer. She was married to the late Peter Baldry, a scientist, and has two sons, Will and Adam. She now lives with her two cats, Bramble and Sorrel, who are characters in the Warriors books (Brambleclaw and Sorreltail, respectively) in Reigate.
