Cheorwon County (
Cheorwon-gun), also spelt
Cholwon, is a
county in
Gangwon Province,
South Korea. It is located right next to the border with
North Korea.
History

Location
Cheorwon was an important spot travelling to everywhere especially from Seoul to
Wonsan and
Kumgangsan.
The 43 National Road beginning from Seoul has been extended into a four-lane road, so traffic flows much better than it used to.
Weather
During the winter, Cheorwon is one of the coldest areas in South Korea.
