Chemoorganotrophs utilize organic compounds as their energy source. Examples of organic chemicals include glucose and acetate. Most chemoorganotrophs are heterotrophs. However, chemolithotrophs utilize inorganic compounds. An example of chemoorganotrophs are yeast.
