Cat Scratch Fever is an album by Ted Nugent released in 1977, as well as the name of the album's title song.
The title song has been repeatedly covered, by Motörhead (on the March ör Die album), by Nitro (on the Nitro II: H.W.D.W.S. album) and Pantera (for the Detroit Rock City soundtrack and their 2003 compilation album) and DJ Ashba (on the Rockstar Guitar Heros compilation) among others. The song is also the theme song for Arena Football's San Jose SaberCats.
The song "Home Bound" was covered by the Beastie Boys and Biz Markie as "The Biz vs the Nuge" on the album Check Your Head in 1992.
The title song appears in the video game Prey as a selectable jukebox song.
It is also a playable song in the video game Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
The title track is also featured in many movies and TV series including Lords of Dogtown, EDtv, The Stoned Age and Detroit Rock City.
