Karl (or Carl) Wilhelm Verhoeff (1867–1945) was a
German zoologist, specialising in
Myriapoda and
woodlice. He was briefly employed at the
Museum für Naturkunde in
Berlin (1900–1905), but for the remainder of his long career, he worked privately . Verhoeff was one of the most prolific authors of myriapod taxa, along with
Ralph Vary Chamberlin and
Carl Michael Theodor von Attems . He committed
suicide on December 6, 1945 .
