Cardistry is the non-deceptive manipulation of playing cards, designed to impress through dexterity and style rather than by tricking the eye. Practitioners are knowns as cardists. Cardistry makes use of "card flourishes" which are fancy stunts done with playing cards, as distinguished from card manipulation tricks such as those used by stage magicians and card sharps.   • Two-hand single cuts: Any method used to cut the deck into two packets and switch the two, using two hands.
  • Two-hand multiple cuts: Any method used to cut the deck into more than two packets and reorganize them, using two hands.
  • Display cuts: Cutting the deck into 2 or more packets and holding them in whatever position is called for by the display.
