Anathallo is a music ensemble originally from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and now based in Chicago, Illinois. The band started practicing in the fall of 2000 and played their first show soon afterwards. The band's name, Anathallo, is derived from a Greek word meaning “to renew, refresh or bloom again.”
In 2006 Anathallo released "Floating World", their first nationally distributed record. In November of 2008 they will release a follow up to Floating World entitled "Canopy Glow" on the Anticon label.
