The barrow contained a male skeleton with rich funerary goods, including a large 'lozenge'-shaped piece of gold, a tanged spearhead and Bronze rivets (left over from a decayed wooden shield). The design of the artifact know as the Bush Barrow Lozenge (the larger of a pair) has recently been analyzed and shown to be based on a hexagon construction , both in its form and decorative elements. A similar lozenge from Clandon Barrow, in Dorset was shown to use a decagon in its design.
