Brokpa
Brokpa
The Brokpa community is an Dardic community residing in the Dha-Hanu valley in Ladakh. They speak an archaic Shina language. There are small Brokpa communities in east Bhutan as well in the region of Merak and Sakteng. They are the followers of the Bön religion. In Bhutan the Brokpas have embraced Buddhism, although Bön rituals still survive.
