Brickfilms LLC a web marketing and advertising business owned by Cynthia and Charles Price. Starting as a simple site for the founder, Jason Rowoldt, to display several of his films, it quickly grew into a huge community with over a thousand films from directors all over the world.

The site has experienced a slight increase in traffic but a decrease in posts on the forums following a controversial string of events in the first half of 2008. After the new owner, Cynthia Price, a member of the Adirondack Manufacturing Corporation, started making changes to the site, many members were annoyed. Due to bad communication from both parties and some questionable acts by the new owners, the majority of members of the site migrated to the newly formed site BricksInMotion.com (Originally called ilovebrickfilming.com). Many members boycotted Brickfilms altogether following a cease and desist order sent by the Adirondack Manufacturing Corporation to Schlaeps, former admin of Brickfilms.com and owner of Ilovebrickfilming.com.

Podcast

The Brickfilms podcast was started in January 2006. It has been made available in iPod format on iTunes, as well as via RSS, and features animations created by various members of the Brickfilms community. The podcast is currently down.

Patronages

For a small amount of money donated to Brickfilms to keep the site running, various members of Brickfilms can become patrons, allowing special features on the site such as the ability to rate films and get a Brickfilms.com email address. Until late 2007, "Digital" and "Saint" patronages were able to be purchased allowing users of their class to have 300mb or 600mb of web space on the server with the subdomain "user.brickfilms.com". This was dropped due to the limited web space on the server.
