Brian Adam Dinkelman is a minor league second baseman in the Minnesota Twins' organization signed in the eighth round of the June amateur draft. He is 5'11" tall and weighs 198 lbs., and was born on November 10, 1983 in Centralia, Illinois. He plays his position right handed, but bats lefty.
Along with teammates Robert Delaney, Jeff Manship, Wilson Ramos, Anthony Slama & Danny Valencia, Dinkelman represented the Fort Myers Miracle in the 2008 Florida State League All-Star game after batting .293 with two home runs and 19 runs batted in in the first half of the 2008 season. He collected two hits in six at bats, and scored the first run of the All-Star game.
The Miracle captured the Florida State League first-half West Division title, however, rather than appearing in the post season with the Miracle, he was promoted to the Twins' Double A affiliate, the New Britain Rock Cats. With the Rock Cats, he batted .247 with two home runs and 21 RBIs.
He is the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) all-time leader in career hits (373), doubles (96), runs scored (303) and total bases (670) and holds or shares 25 career McKendree College records.
