Bomber is a song by the
heavy metal band
Motörhead. It was released in the
UK in
1979 by
Bronze Records as a
7" vinyl single with the first 20,000 copies pressed in blue vinyl and thereafter in black, and with the previously unreleased
Over the Top as a B-side. The single was released to coincide with the release of the
Bomber album, on which it features, and reached number 34 in the
UK singles chart. The song also makes an appearance on the
St. Valentine's Day Massacre EP (played by
Girlschool),
The Best of Motörhead,
No Remorse, and
Stone Deaf Forever!. Live versions appear on the band's albums
No Sleep 'til Hammersmith,
Everything Louder than Everyone Else,
Live At Brixton Academy and
Better Motörhead than Dead: Live at Hammersmith; and on the video releases
The Birthday Party,
25 & Alive Boneshaker and
