Elizabeth "Beth" Logan is a fictional character on the American soap opera, The Bold and the Beautiful. She was played by Judith Baldwin, who originated the role (1987); Nancy Burnett, who is most identified with the role (1987-1989, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2001); and Marla Adams (1991). Robin Riker joined the cast in the contract role of Beth Logan. Her first airdate was on June 18, 2008.
Before the show began, Stephen had deserted Beth and the children, as he felt that he would never measure up to Eric. Beth had gained a job as a caterer and so she and Brooke had catered a party that Stephanie had set up for one of the fashion shows.
This allowed Eric to reconnect with Beth, whom he had always loved. Beth suffered during this time from breast cancer. Stephanie, desperate to keep Eric away from Beth, contacted Stephen, who was estranged from her, to come back into their lives. Stephanie also convinced Bill Spencer (Jim Storm) to give Stephen a job in Paris, to keep Beth as far away from Eric as she could.
Despite all this, Beth has always loved Eric and wishes he was still in her life. Eventually however, she and Stephen divorced, because of her lingering fondness for Eric.
Beth Logan returned to Los Angeles on June 18, 2008 at the request of Nick Marone, because he thinks her youngest daughter, Katie, who recently had a heart transplant, needed her. Her family is now worried about Beth's strange behaviour.
On June 27, 2008 she revealed to Katie that she has had several mini-strokes and is also in the early stages of dementia. It took some convincing but Beth finally agreed to stay in LA and receive treatment from her granddaughter Dr. Bridget Forrester and other doctors. The treatment seems to be working.
Stephen and Beth have also hinted at a possible reconciliation.
On October 7, 2008 Beth was injured by a hit and run driver, believed to be caused by crazy Pamela Douglas.
