BEAM.TV

BEAM.TV is a global distribution network built for the advertising industry.

The idea was created in 1998 when a group of people in the technology department of London facilities house The Mill had to find a way to please director Ridley Scott who was creating the movie Gladiator in LA, whilst the visual effects were being created by The Mill in London. Rather than couriering videotapes of work-in-progress from London to LA for Ridley Scott's approval, the team pioneered the idea of uploading material to the internet as a means of speeding-up the approval process. This idea then blossomed into BEAM.TV.

Since that point BEAM.TV has grown from a simple online approval system to a global distribution network and now supplies services archiving, advertising awards shows (such as Clio Awards and Cannes Lions), TV and IPTV delivery and retail scheduling.
