Commonwealth Law Reports
The Commonwealth Law Reports (CLR) are the authorised reports of decisions of the High Court of Australia. The CLR are published by the Lawbook Company, a division of Thomson Reuters. 
Examples of other reports of decisions of the High Court are the Australian Law Reports and the Australian Law Journal Reports. Each of these series are unauthorised reports that are printed and distributed considerably sooner than the CLRs.
Citation of High Court cases in the CLR takes the following form: Commonwealth v Tasmania (1983) 158 CLR 1. This citation means that the report of that case commenced at page 1 of volume 158.
