Asteracmea is a genus of true limpets, marine gastropod molluscs in the family Acmaeidae, the true limpets.
Distribution
This genus is
endemic to
New Zealand and
Australia.
Description
Asteracmea shells are minute, translucent, with the
apex near central, smooth or with faint radial striae. The coloration is usually pink, either rayed or with a central stellate maculation.
The radula has the centrals approximate, and the laterals posterior to them in one row, the inner larger than the outer ones, and the marginals narrow.
