Johanna Peña-Álvarez is a professional female boxer. Born on January 6 1983 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Peña-Álvarez is a world class flyweight (112 pounds). Peña-Álvarez made her pro debut at the age of seventeen, on June 29 2000, winning a 2nd round TKO over Natali Lara. She won her second pro bout, before losing a 6-round unanimous decision to Gisselle Salandy on August 8 2000.
