The
Arenberg Research-Park is a
science park founded by the
Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and located nearby the
Arenberg campus of the university in
Heverlee (
Belgium). The science park provides a
bio-incubator for
spin-offs of the university and space for companies active in research and development. The development of the science park was unfortunately also a shameful attack on a valuable ecologic forest and one of the last open range area's at the entrance of Leuven. The development of the site is at cost of private entrepreneurship in the Leuven region and is buildings themselves have been sponsored with government grants of the Flemish region.
