Arckanum is a of a Swedish black metal band formed in 1993 by Johan "Shamaatae" Lahger, who is the only constant member. Arckanum is notable for writing lyrics Old Swedish, and dealing mainly with the worship of Chaos and Pan, as well as anti-cosmic Satanism in the vein of Dissection. Shamaatae is also an author of occult literature, having signed a contract with Ixaxaar Publishing as of 2007. He has three books in progress.
