The second song, "Mouno Mukhorata", was inspired by the Paul Simon song "The Sound of Silence". The sixth song is a very sad and nostalgic song. The other songs are satirical, humorous, light-hearted and refreshing. As a bangla band, Chandrabindoo became very successful, both critically as well as commercially. The mood of this, their first album, set the tone for following albums, which inclined towards the nonsensical and satirical, with an in-your-face approach towards contemporary Bengali society in particular and also prevalent global culture and politics.

Aar Jani Naa proved to be a surprise commercial success. In 2005, Chandrabindoo re-worked on their first album and made a few changes in the lyrics and the music and came out with a new album titled Ebhabeo Phire Asha Jaaye.
