Player

Clubs

He played for Dynamo Minsk (where he spent most of his career) and for FC Groningen.

In Racing de Santander he played for three seasons (1993-1996), with 81 appearances. He was an apparently cold defender, with good control of the match tempo, good positioning on the field, ball control, and ability to sacrifice himself for the team. All these qualities won him a place in the eleven which made one of the best campaigns of the whole history of the team (1993-1994).

Zygmantovich made his debut for USSR on March 28, 1984 in a friendly against West Germany. He represented USSR at the 1990 FIFA World Cup, scoring a goal in a game against Cameroon, which turned out to be his last game for the USSR. He later also represented Belarus for 9 matches.
