Anatoma regia is a species of minute sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusc in the family Scissurellidae.
Distribution
This species is
endemic to the
North and
South Islands of
New Zealand, including the
Three Kings Islands.
Habitat
This scissurellid is found at depths of about 180
m.
Shell description
The shells are depressed-
trochiform, with a much lower
spire than
Anatoma mantelli, much finer radial
sculpture and a different inner lip, that is broad below but tapers away to thin towards the
umbilicus.
The shell height is up to 2 mm, and width 2.5 mm.
