Amylmetacresol or Amyl-m-Creso (C12H18O, CAS#: 1300-94-3 ) is a mild antiseptic used to treat minor infections of the mouth and throat. It is one of two active ingredients in Strepsils / Gorpils lozenges. Boots Group / Gepach International also make a lozenge with this as active ingredient.
