Aaron Lanes

Aaron Lanes (born November 17, 1982 in Mill Valley, California is an American soccer defensive midfielder, who last played for Houston Dynamo of Major League Soccer.

College

Lanes captained UC-Santa Cruz to a 22-2 record and a second-place finish in the NCAA Division III tournament as a senior in 2004, also earning first-team all-Independent Division III and NSCAA second-team all-West Region honors along the way. He was named Defensive Player of the Year by the Association of Division III Independents.

Professional

Lanes joined the San Jose Earthquakes as a developmental player in September 2005 after appearing in three reserve games as a guest player. Along with a majority of his Earthquakes teammates, he moved to Houston for the 2006 season. However, he was waived by the Dynamo during the 2007 pre-season. He then signed with the Rochester Raging Rhinos of the USL First Division.
