2 Days in Paris

2 Days in Paris is a 2007 film written and directed by Julie Delpy, who stars alongside Adam Goldberg and her real-life parents Albert Delpy and Marie Pillet.

Plot

Marion (Delpy) is a French photographer who pays a two-day visit to Paris with her neurotic chain-smoker American boyfriend Jack (Goldberg) after a disastrous trip to Venice which was originally conceived to re-ignite their damaged relationship. Once they arrive there, they will have to face some challenges such as meeting Marion's parents and several of her ex-boyfriends. Marion is quite impulsive and gets very angry with a number of men, usually over their interest in other younger women.

Reception

The film was met with a positive reception, scoring a 87% of favourable reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, and went on to gross $14,478,172 worldwide.

It won the Coup de Cœur Award from the Mons International Festival of Love Films, as well as being nominated for other awards; including the Independent Spirit Award, in the category of Best First Feature. and the César Award in the category of Best Original Writing at the 2008 César Awards, France.
